I'm an engineer, a designer, an artist, and a lifelong dog-lover. I was born and raised in the Boston area to Greek parents and enjoyed my childhood finding frogs in my backyard, building with LEGOs, and doing arts and crafts projects -- all fueled by my Grandma's Spanakopita.
Studying Mechanical Engineering at MIT helped me learn about everything from robots to heat exchangers to ocean waves. Through projects in my courses, extracurricular activities, undergraduate research, and my Masters' Thesis, I fostered a passion for solving problems and saw over and over again the power of applying engineering concepts to real life issues. Along the way, I found that engineering design blends artistic creativity and technical expertise, and I have continued to foster the union of the two in my personal projects. My mom even jokes now that Mechanical Engineering is "advanced arts and crafts" -- and she's not totally wrong!
When I'm not cultivating my "advanced arts and crafts" skills, I'm drinking tea, making delicious food, skiing, hiking, or caring for my succulents and vegetable garden.
